Graeme has more than twenty five years' experience in commercial
finance within a number of industries, including; professional
services, fresh produce, shipping, distribution and leisure. He
joined VISION in September 2004 after an eleven-year spell with
Fyffes, where for his last five years he was the senior finance
executive for the Fresh Produce Division in Scotland.
Graeme is an expert in adapting finance functions and business
models to turbulent markets and driving high business performance
through change. As part of his role at VISION, Graeme offers
consultants advice and insights on the financial pitfalls and early
warning signs of managing organizations through change.
During his career with Fyffes he was involved in a number of
successful acquisition, merger, and restructuring deals. In 2001
Fyffes Multifresh was merged and integrated into Capespan Europe,
requiring detailed financial absorption on plc reporting
timescales. In 2001 Fyffes acquired a Redbridge Holdings trading
branch in the Glasgow Fruit Market, with subsequent integration
into Fyffes Glasgow. Throughout this time there were a number of
restructuring and refocusing exercises in the Edinburgh Fruit
Market as the industry adapted to competition from the supermarket
chains.
In recent years at VISION, Graeme is proudest of maintaining
profitability over constantly changing clients and consulting
markets, and developing highly accurate financial projections
quarter by quarter, over the course of the year.
Graeme has a BA Degree in Business Studies from Napier College
Edinburgh and is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified
Accountants, FCCA.
